Meet

amaya perkins

Hi! My name is Amaya Perkins (she/they) and I am the Front Office Manager and Elective Teacher here at Odyssey School. I am often the first face your student sees when they walk into school for the day and I always greet them with a smile!
I have been teaching for nine years and have experience working with kids with disabilities and learning disabilities. My teaching philosophy is to make sure that everyone feels safe, welcome, and included and I strive to make my classroom an accessible and inclusive space for students of all abilities and identities. My background in teaching stems from children’s theatre and the arts which aids me in bringing a unique perspective into my classroom.
In my free time, I spend time with my service dog in training, Oakley, create art and resources for my business, and spend time with loved ones.
