Karris Thompson

Hi! My name is Karris Thompson, and I’m thrilled to be starting my first year at Odyssey School. This is my second year teaching since graduating in May 2024 from Columbus State University in Columbus, GA, with a bachelor’s degree in Middle School Education specializing in Mathematics and Science. I have the joy of working with 4th–8th grade students, and I was drawn to Odyssey because of its warm, inclusive environment that truly celebrates every learner. As a teacher with ADHD, I understand the challenges and strengths that come with different ways of thinking, and I use my own experiences to build strong connections with my students. In both math and science, I strive to create an open, creative, and engaging space where curiosity is encouraged, and every student feels seen, supported, and valued. Outside the classroom, I find joy in practicing photography, reading, listening to music, and cooking with my amazing fiancé, Hansa Bosbach.
